Tarot In-depth, 8

In our first group of Majors we understood our childhood, and the upbringing that shaped us.

Now it gets even more real, and even more deep. Sadly we cannot blame our upbringing for all our faults! It is time to be accountable, to look at yourself and own it- the best and the worst of who you are.

You can not help anyone else with Tarot if you can't use the cards to understand yourself. So lets turn the spotlight onto you....

This module focuses on "shadow work". I want to bring this into simple terms- shadow work is those things you choose not to see about you, and your life.

This may come from your childhood, or education. Did your parents (with the best of intentions) gently push you away from the arts and into a solid "career" or a reliable trade? This may have worked well for you- you may have a great job, good family, maintain a loving relationship with your parents. Yet deep down you feel as if something is missing, somehting you just can't quite put a finger on.

You may have rejected your artistic self. There may be fear that if you reconnect with your artist self you will destabilise, or lose the good things your solid career has allowed you to build in your life.

And so you ignore the urge to paint, or sing, or dance. Yet it is still there- perhaps through a love of film, or encouraging your children to be artistic.

Through life we have all had to adjust who we are to fit in, let go of a little confidence perhaps, present as strong when we want to cry, or pretend to love horror movies to fit in with a friendship group. Little by little, step by step, its easy to forget who we are as we gently adjust to fit in.

Often shadow work is not so much about deep dark trauma, but loving people encouraging us to live what they believe is our best life, but is actually pushing a part of us into the the shadows.

Tread gently with shadow work, journal, talk to a trusted friend, and always work at your pace.

A common question people ask is which is the best deck to use.. the best answer I can give you is the deck you know best of all. But sometimes novelty can help us to find the hidden- so in the videos you'll see me demonstrating a double deck spread as well.

Remember my number one rule for shadow work. Be kind.

My shared readings is a little different now, as we are further through the course.

Remember you don't NEED to do these, and if you are running a few months behind with these- that's just fine.

Make the course fit your life, not the other way around!

There are 2 "active" email readings on the PDF, and these will be changed on this module each month to ensure they are fresh.

I invite you to shuffle your cards, read for them, then email your reading to me. I will;

  • Give you honest feedback about your reading, with points to consider for your development.

  • Share my reading.

Remember you may read from a different perspective to me. We can get different cards, a different angle, and both be on point.

I am also offering you the opportunity to carry out a supported email reading each month now. If you would like to take part please let me know by email. I will then give you an email address of someone you can read for. The guidelines are;

  • No health or legal readings.

  • I trust the other person, and know them not to be in a desperate situation.

  • You can both reach out to me for advice, support, or input.

  • The other person will give you honest feedback on your reading.
