Teaching core shamanics online- that is something I never expected to be offering!
I had been teaching in person shaman circles and workshops for about 8 years when lockdown hit. It hurt not to be able to connect with my shaman students, and we were keen to find an online way to make it work.
The first Zoom group was not easy. I started to lead a drummed journey but it quickly became clear drums and Zoom are not the best fit. I heard clearly in my head “chant you fool”, took a deep breath, and started to lead the group on the journey through a lokk ( a shamanic chant) rather than a drum. And it worked.
I found it hard to hold a safe space, feel comfortable with the tech, and lead the lokk. So after a couple of sessions I decided to try pre-recording the journey. This was easier in that it allowed me to use both drum and voice.
But. Journeying on my own I forgot I was recording for others, the first many attempts were frustrating as I sopped drumming, or lost all sense of time ending up with recordings that were too long, too short, or totally inconsistent.
I persevered and in time managed to stay grounded enough to consider my students, but enough in the journey to lead the group where they needed to go. This was a steep learning curve- but great fun.
And so my current format of teaching shamanism online has been developing over 5 years, and I know it works.
· Pre-recorded shamanic journeys that you can use, and re-use as best suits you.
· Written information in down-loadable texts- some people prefer to learn through reading.
· Recorded audios of main tools, and personal reflections- because its important to understand how unique you are, and some people prefer audio to text.
· Monthly Zoom community call. This is your space to ask questions, discuss, and hear about other peoples experiences. If you can’t join live, or prefer not to, the call is recorded and you can email questions/reflections ahead of the call.
In the end I cannot “teach” you how to be a shaman- you need to discover that for yourself.
I can teach you powerful tools, reflect on your experiences and help you to learn more efficiently. My role is support you on your shamanic journey, and in my experience that is just as effective online as it is in person.

Or drop me an email.
My course is woven around the runes, because these are the tools I know best. The runes are tools, if you are not interested in the runes you can find your own tools to hold their place.
This is a course in core shamanic skills, with a little rune work thrown in- because in the end the runes are the core of all that I do.
