Tarot In-depth, 7

O.K. I think this group of cards are the "biggest" in Tarot.

I've tried to break into different types of information- from have a go  journaling, to diving deep, to practical meanings.

Remember if its too much information then go with the flow, allow yourself to be playful with what works for you, then come back when it suits you.

Be gentle with yourself- this is Mother, Father, School days, first love. We'll have wounds somewhere in this small group of cards!

The first group of Majors, 1-7, take us from conception to young adult. So in some form or another we have all walked with these cards. So if you find an emotional trigger or block be gentle on yourself!

The trick as adults is to make peace with each of these big cards, each of these important milestones in our life. And internalise the energy so we feel fully comfortable with ourselves.

When I refer to mother and father- well we all have biological ones whether they were present in our life, or absent, they will have left their mark.

You may also have had a mother figure, and a father figure. These may have been grandparents, siblings, a neighbour. You may have had one parent who had to take on both roles. Your parental figures is not related to gender, age, or biology. Rather the role they played in your life.

This not about blaming parents for a job badly done. It is about understanding these archetypes in your psyche and reclaiming any that are missing.

Magician; conception. Who am I and what do I want?

High Priestess; in the womb. My connection with dreams, and soul, and whispers of the universe.

Empress; mother. My mother, allowing others to nurture me, caring for my needs.

Emperor; father. My father, authority, order, self discipline.

Hierophant; teacher. My education outside of the family, my relationship to learning as a child, and now.

Lovers; equal relationships. The people outside of my family that I have formed  relationships with in my life, in the past and now.

Chariot; ego. My sense of self. Both as a young adult starting out in life, and as the person I am now.

The easiest way to understand the Tarot is to use the cards to understand yourself. Build a personal connection with each card, connect with it, explore the imagery, find yourself in the card.
