The power of right now

My role as a Tarot reader is a lot more subtle than predicting the future. For a start the future isn't fixed, which is a really good thing!

My role varies a lot depending on the client..

·      A last point of possible hope when nothing else is helping.

·      A check in that their intuition is on point.

·      A safe space where they can share their secrets.

·      Someone to help them get their thoughts out of overwhelm and into a logical order.

·      Honest validation of their situation.

·      A safe place to vent.

·      Keeping track of the progress of projects and situations.

I’ve been working with many of my clients for years now. Although I don’t keep notes on my clients, and I consciously let go of the information at the end of a session, as soon as I shuffle the narrative comes back, and I connect to their situation.

In many of my clients lives I am a constant in a complicated world, sometimes I feel like the village priest. Offering a safe space, unconditional love, and spiritual wisdom rolled into one.

I see my role as;

·      Doing no harm.

·      Holding a safe space.

·      Reading the cards to help a client understand their current situation.

·      Focusing on the power the client has in their life, right now.

Most of my clients want to focus on a specific outcome. This might be, “do they love me”, “when will this happen”, or “should I chose A or B”.

I try not to get lost in chasing their dream outcome, or finding the perfect solution to their dilemma.

If the question is “should I stay in my marriage?” my reading is more likely to focus on how to best navigate their marriage right now- which may or may not end up in them choosing to stay, but at least they will feel they put 100% into trying, which usually makes the answer clear.

“Will I find my life partner this year” will probably start with why they are currently single, and what they can do to improve what ever is the reason they are single. This might be an emotional wound, self limiting block, or simply being too busy to date.

Whatever outcome my client is most focused on- my focus is always on “why are you in this position?” , helping them to understand their past.

“How can you best navigate the present moment” Because the only power we really have is the here and now, and this will always lead to the best possible future- even if it’s not what you might expect.

Whilst checking in- is this leading you to a future you want?

My classic spread for many questions is a nine card grid, 3 cards for the past, 3 for the present (which I also read as advice) and 3 for the most likely future.

It can be fascinating to do this spread at the start of a session, reading into understanding the past and present. Unlocking the blocks and problems. Then end with repeating this spread to experience just how much a client has improved their situation though a Tarot guidance session.

My role is not to get lost in the past, or the future, simply to understand them. Then help empower their conscious choices in the present moment.
